flooD RESPONSE
We are working with our partners to addresses critical needs in northern Kenya, including flood/drought conditions. The project provides multi-purpose cash assistance, essential wash support, and emergency shelter kits. Efforts include water source rehabilitation, hygiene promotion, and distribution of Wash NFI kits to vulnerable households. Significant strides have been made in community awareness and environmental health, benefiting thousands.
relief emergency program
The Relief Emergency Program in Wajir provides critical support through the distribution of food and sanitary kits to vulnerable communities. This initiative aims to alleviate hunger and improve hygiene standards, enhancing overall well-being. Efforts focus on the most affected households, ensuring essential resources reach those in dire need. The program plays a crucial role in stabilizing and supporting Wajir's population amidst ongoing challenges.
BEE KEEPING PROJECT
The current beekeeping project is in Dhobley, situated on the Kenya-Somalia border, and serves as an alternative livelihood and climate adaptation strategy. This initiative aims to mitigate challenges posed by climate variability and limited economic opportunities in the region. By promoting beekeeping, the project offers local communities a sustainable income source while enhancing their resilience to environmental changes. Beekeeping diversifies livelihoods, supports ecosystem health through pollination, and contributes to agricultural productivity and biodiversity conservation in Dhobley, thereby fostering economic stability and environmental sustainability in the border region.
